Pencil Comps What and Why

The simplest way to explain the need and purpose of pencil color t-shirt comps is to save time and money. The goal is to invest as little time and involvement as possible to sell a t-shirt design. Using these comps made it possible to presell an idea or design without creating and printing finished art. The small size, about 5", makes roughing out a fast and cost-effective concept. All of these comps were sketched on 8.5" x 11" white paper. Over time the colors have bled, and the paper yellowed.  ​
