As long as I can remember, I’ve held painting—and painters—in the highest esteem. What has always fascinated me is the almost magical ability to take thoughts and emotions and translate them into something visual: a two-dimensional surface that feels alive, dimensional, and real.

I’ve always been captivated by the question of why things look the way they do. Why chrome reflects the world the way it does. Why granite has its unique texture. How we instinctively distinguish water from land, or how forms soften and fade into the distance. These visual phenomena became an obsession—one that continues to shape my work today.

The masters understood these principles deeply, and with that knowledge, they could express exactly what they felt about any subject. That level of control and intention is something I’ve always admired and pursued in my own way.

Professionally, I began my creative career as a T-shirt designer. However, even during that time, my true passion remained rooted in painting. I pursued it with intensity and dedication, not as a commercial endeavor, but as a personal discipline—something too meaningful to be driven by the need to sell.

This dual path has had a lasting impact on my work. My background in painting has strongly influenced my style as a designer, and that influence is clearly reflected in my pencil compositions and many of my T-shirt designs. My work lives at the intersection of fine art and design—guided by observation, curiosity, and a deep respect for how we see and interpret the world.
